• Synthetic paper accepts pen or pencil and is tear resistant and water proof.
• Wire bound with tough red plastic cover which is impervious to water and many chemicals.
All Chartwell outdoor books are produced to the highest specification.
The Paper....
For these books we use fine quality 50% RAG bonded high cotton linters content, gives high tear resistance and exceptional strength when wet. It remains this strength and writing surface when dried after having been subjected to adverse weather conditions. Archival properties are excellent.
The Inks....
All books are printed by lithography in permanent waterproof ink.
The Binding.....
The sections are sewn with rot proof thread and the books are bound with an excellent glazed fibre cover material, which in addition to being water resistant is extremely tough and long lasting. Being case made, the covers can be folded flat without damage to the binding. Rounded corners save pocket wear & tear.

Our survey books meet the most stringent government specifications and can confidently be used in any climate conditions, from tropical to polar.

Designed for use in the most demanding outdoor environments. The tough, red, plastic cover is completely impervious to water and many chemical agents. The smooth, white, writing surface, is a special synthetic paper that accepts ink & pencil lines, yet is completely water & tear resistant. Refer to 2281 & 2291
